Love and War #1
Love and War #1 is the latest addition to Comixology Originals to make it into print. The story introduces us to the world of intramural tug of war, a niche part of the sports world. Andrew Wheeler’s script introduces a charming cast of characters and dynamics, setting up a rivalry that promises to play out with perfect dramatic flair. Killian Ng’s art, while oddly-colored at points, exudes liveliness and cartoonish flair, visually acquainting us with the adorably-rendered ensemble.
Fans of comics like Check, Please! and Fence will surely enjoy Love and War #1, but anyone looking for slice-of-life romance and whimsy will find something to love in this story.
